The Experience
The Porsche GT Intensive is the most focused driver development program in North Queensland — and the only Porsche Track Experience of its kind to be held at the brand-new DriveIT NQ Race Circuit in Townsville. Over two consecutive days, twelve participants complete the full Level 3 Performance and Level 4 Master pathway in a single immersive event, led by Porsche factory driver and chief instructor Luke Youlden.
Both days run exclusively in the 911 GT3. There is no warm-up car, no stepping stones — you begin in the GT3 and you finish in it. Day 1 is a structured half-day of trackside and skid pan technique sessions, covering steering control, high-speed braking, trail braking, and the dynamic Ducks & Drakes exercise. Every session is conducted with comprehensive instructor feedback and immediate, specific correction from the opening lap. Day 1 concludes with Level 3 certification.
Day 2 is a full day on circuit, supported by a dedicated engineering team with live telemetry. Sessions are built around each participant's individual data — braking traces, throttle inputs, lap times — and the program adapts in real time to accelerate development. Advanced trail braking, oversteer control, qualifying simulation, race craft fundamentals, and extended independent lapping culminate in the Level 4 Master certificate. All participants leave Day 2 fully qualified for the Level 5 GT3 Cup program, with the opportunity to register on the day before dates are publicly released. Participants may also bring one guest on Day 2 for four instructor-led hot laps in the 911 GT3.
This event sits at the intersection of the Croesus commitment to elite experience and genuine personal development. With just twelve places per day, the ratio of instruction to seat time is exceptional. Whether you are entering as a first-time Level 3 participant or a returning Level 3 holder joining for Day 2 only, the Townsville GT Intensive is designed to move you — technically, and as a driver.
Porsche factory driver, multiple Bathurst 12 Hour class winner, and Australia's benchmark GT instructor. Luke leads both days personally — briefings, in-car sessions, telemetry review, and individual debrief. Access to this level of coaching is the defining feature of the program.
The naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six. 510 hp. 9,000 rpm. Rear-wheel drive. Every technique taught on this program — trail braking, throttle discipline, oversteer management — is engineered around what this specific car demands. There is no better environment to learn it.
Day 2 introduces dedicated engineering support with live GPS telemetry. Brake traces, throttle inputs, lap times and corner-by-corner analysis are reviewed with each participant at lunch and used to shape the afternoon sessions. Coaching that responds to your actual data — not a pre-set program.
“The gap between going quickly and going fast is entirely in your head. My job is to show you where the braking point actually is — then help you believe it.”
